SUSI
CHARITABLE TRUST is a registered, tax exempted, multipurpose charitable trust It is registered with the
Government of Orissa (Vide reg.no. 171 dt.11-03-04 of S,R. Bhubaneswar) and
with the Commissioner of Income Tax,Government of India u/s 12AA of
IT Act 196 and u/s 80G of IT act 1961. The trust is also registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs , Govt. of India under section 6(1) (a) of Foreign contribution (regulation)act ,1976 (FCR Registration Number104830269). The trust is managed by a board of trustees consisting of
Managing Trustee and five trustees.
Our desire is
to participate effectively in the transformation and development of
society through the eradication of illiteracy , superstition and social
evils, through establishing and running educational institutions ,creating
public awareness about health, hygiene, sanitation, environmental pollution
etc. and establishing social engineering centers in rural and urban
areas.
We undertake humanitarian
works providing immediate relief to the suffering in times of sickness
,natural calamities etc.
We also intend
to undertake long term projects aimed at generating employment and
revenue to the needy so that sustainable development is achieved.
One of our
priority areas of interest is care and rehabilitation of the mentally ill.
We are working towards establishing a rehabilitation center for the
mentally ill with facilities for day care/short tem stay to those cured
from mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression
etc. providing occupational therapy, physical/mental exercise ,counseling,
sports and games etc. We propose to form an alliance of the care givers of
the mentally ill and to undertake programs aimed at educating the public
regarding the scientific basis of mentall illness and to eradicate /reduce
the social stigma so that the mentally ill can lead a quality life of
dignity and self respect. |
